The Mathematics and Statistics department offer undergraduate degrees in mathematics which are accredited by the Institute for Mathematics and its Applications. You will study 360 credits made of 120 credits from each of levels one, two and three. In level one you will be introduced to key mathematical ideas and gain a firm foundation in Pure Mathematics, Applied Mathematics and Statistics. During the second and third levels you have the chance to choose modules that you are interested in and to specialise according to your interests. Thus you can choose whether your degree should be in Mathematics, Mathematics with Statistics or Mathematics and its Learning.

After you have completed your undergraduate degree you may wish to study further on our MSc in Mathematics or even study for a doctoral degree
