Profile summary

Professional biography

Annie is a final year PhD student in the School of Physical Sciences at the Open University, and member of the OU's Planetary Environments Research Group.

Her project primarily involves producing a 1:3M geological map of Mercury's south polar (Bach) quadrangle, H15.
In addiation, she also research lobate ejecta deposits of H15 and global occurrences of small-scale, smooth patches that may represent Mercury's youngest effusive volcanism.
Alongside geology-focused studies, Annie is passionate about diversity and equality in science and have been researching diversity and representation in space science nomenclature.

Annie's background is in terrestrial geology, geological mapping and metamorphic geology.
Supervisory team: Professor David Rothery (lead), Prof. Matthew Balme, Dr Susan Conway, Dr Jack Wright.
