LHCS Online Summer School 2026

The School of Life, Health and Chemical Sciences (LHCS) will be hosting a free 2026 Online Summer School (OSS). This year the school will consist of four investigations using experimental techniques in chemistry and/or biology. You will use two interactive screen experiments, a remote scanning electron microscope, and remote observation of cell growth. 

Investigation titles are 

  • Burning Questions: Determining the Calorific Value of African Foodstuffs
  • Antibody agents part II: Antibody responses to SARS-CoV-2
  • Observing growing cells online in real-time - Monitoring Cell Proliferation in Different Environments
  •  Behind the Seams: Uncovering History with Scanning Electron Microscopy

The investigations and poster presentation will run from Monday 27th July – approx. 24th of August. 

Followed by an online poster conference and an opportunity to present your poster in our virtual online room on Wednesday 2nd September, 7- 8.30 pm.

Registration has opened today; you can join after the start date, as these investigations are designed to be flexible, like OU study!
