Community

The MarcoPolo-M5 mission has been developed from detailed studies of earlier versions of the mission (especially MarcoPolo-R and MarcoPolo-2D), ensuring high levels of understanding of the technical issues facing the mission, and the development of key technologies to ensure a successful mission.  In the same manner, the scientific community behind MarcoPolo-M5 has also benefited from the preceding missions, with a large group of scientists behind the mission, helping define the mission proposal and supporting the overall ambitions.

The proposer team for MarcoPolo-M5 mission includes leading sample analysis scientists from across Europe together with leading experts in small body and early solar system science, and leaders of the key payload elements.

There are over 600 European scientists who are supporters of MarcoPolo asteroid sample return.  We encourage all interested in seeing this mission happen to register their support.
