Danny completed his undergraduate studies in Maths and Physics at The University of Bristol in 2009. Following graduation, he briefly pursued a research career in physics with The Open University before getting a job in industry as a software developer. He joined the SEAD group as a research software engineer in 2016 and his current focus is the STRIDE project (https://stride.org.uk/).
As part of the SEAD group Danny has helped run and coordinate a number of events at The National Museum of Computing to raise awareness of computing topics that young audiences may find inspiring. Including programming workshops that focus on voice assistants (eg. Google Home and Amazon Alexa), robotics and drones.
