"Volatiles in the Earth-Moon System: a stable isotope perspective".
My latest work involves measuring the abundance and stable isotopes of sulfur and chlorine within igneous zoned apatites from terrestrial and lunar basalt (Apollo) samples. The project makes use of optical microscopy, SEM, CL, EPMA and NanoSIMS to both contextualise the samples and to acquire quantitative data.
In addition to teaching on Open University modules our academics are engaged in ground breaking research that benefits individuals and society.
