"Volatiles in the Moon: A sulfur and chlorine perspective".
My work involves measuring volatile abundances and stable isotopes of S and Cl from apatites in terrestrial basalt and lunar Apollo basalt samples. The project makes use of optical microscopy, SEM-CL, EPMA, NanoSIMS and XANES to both contextualise and acquire quantitative data for the samples. The research will contribute towards a better understanding of the role volatiles played historically within lunar magma(s), such as driving eruptions and degassing.
