Paul Lunn graduated from the University of Derby with a first class degree in Music Technology and Audio System Design BSc. After completing his degree he joined Calrec Audio Ltd where he worked as a Research and Development Engineer, specialising in software engineering of embedded systems and Audio Digital Signal Processing. At Calrec Paul was involved in the development of broadcast standard digital audio mixing desks. He returned to education by completing an MSc in Embedded Systems Engineering at the University of Huddersfield.
His PHd was obtained from the University of York, his research involved appling audio sonification techniques to the exploration of large scale astronomical data generated by the Search for Extra-terrestial Intelligence.
Paul has been a Senior Lecturer for 16 years, specialising in audio C/C++programming, embedded system engineering, pervasive computing, the Internet of Things and audio electronics. He has worked at the University of Huddersfield, Birmingham City University, and Coventry University.
He is currently a Senior Research Software Engineer at the Open University.
