Profile summary

Professional biography

Currently I am a staff tutor in Environment, Earth and Ecosystem Sciences. I am home-based, living in Northern Ireland. I am also the Students Support Team Lead for the school and an Associate Lecturer currently teaching S(XF)206 Environmental Science.

Research interests

My research interests lie in Educational research. I have undertaken a number of scholarship projects within the Open University and funded by eSTEeM. The current one is examining the effectiveness of RADAR diagrams as a means of assessing employability skills development on S112, an introductory Science module. 

Teaching interests

My background is in chemistry, however I have worked as an Associate Lecturer for the OU for over 25 years. The modules have I taught on have  included Access, Level 1 Science and Environment, Level 2 Chemistry and Environmental Science and level 3 Environment. Currently I'm  a staff tutor on S111, S112, S309, S397, SXG390. I'm also still an AL on S(XF) Environmental Science.
