Professional biography

My PhD research, based at the Open University, focused on the analysis of light volatile elements (C & N) in martian, angrite and HED meteorite samples. This predominantly involved identifying and quantifying reservoirs of carbon and nitrogen within the meteorite samples and using this information to reconstruct the volatile degassing history of the parent bodies.

I am currently responsible for the operation of the FINESSE static-vacuum mass spectrometry system, designed for the simultaneous analysis of carbon, nitrogen and noble gases from a single sample, and the Raman spectroscopy lab.
